A hearty breakfast

The Colwall Men’s Breakfast successfully launched with 29 men gathering at the Yew Tree in March. The purpose is to give men an opportunity to get together for a cooked breakfast, hot drinks and conversation.

Our speaker was Tim Armitt from Lani Leathercraft. Tim spoke about how throughout his corporate career he felt a creative need that wasn’t being met through his work. He began to train himself in wood turning and leather craft. Following the emotional upheaval of redundancy, he put those skills to work, creating and selling directly to the public. His story of picking himself up after redundancy is one many of us empathise with.

A big thank you to Anna, Ivan and the Yew Tree staff for making a wonderful breakfast and being so efficient, coping with so many of us at once.

The next Men’s Breakfast is at the Yew Tree on Saturday 13th April at 8.30am. RSVP to colwallcurate@outlook.com or at the Yew Tree.
