Andrew Falconer - Curate

I’m the curate at Colwall & Coddington, which means I’m still training as a vicar. I came to ordained ministry later in life following a career in university management and various other jobs including political assistant in the House of Commons; and Funeral Director. I studied Politics with Law at University of Wales, Aberystwyth and completed by theological training at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, nr Oxford.

Having called myself atheist, I returned to faith in my 30s. This was, in part, down to observing a Muslim colleague observing Ramadan so faithfully and recognising the lack of spirituality in my life. I have interests in Celtic and Liberation theologies but, having been a cathedral chorister, I’m passionate about Anglican church music and beauty in liturgy (the words we use).
