An informal group initiated by members of St James’s Church whose PCC signed a resolution supporting trade Justice. We welcome anyone in our area who supports the campaign or is interested in the issues.
The Trade Justice Movement campaigns for fundamental change to unjust rules and institutions governing international trade, so that trade is made to work for all.
We believe everyone has the right to feed their families, make a decent living and protect their environment. To end poverty and protect the environment we need trade justice not free trade. The campaign calls on the UK government to:
We lobby our MP, Bill Wiggin, and government ministers on these issues.
We promote fair trade and ethical trading in consumer goods.
